Material Handler - EcoCenter

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our team in Lasalle, Quebec. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling, sorting, and managing various recyclable and hazardous materials in a safe and efficient manner. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Previous experience in material handling, waste management, or recycling operations is preferred.

  • Forklift operator certification is an asset.

  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and material handling procedures. Ability to operate material handling equipment.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.

  • High level of accuracy in sorting and recording materials.

  • Good communication skills in both English and French are preferred.

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Production Supervisor

As the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process, from raw material intake to finished product assembly. You will work closely with the production team to ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field preferred.

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production supervisory role, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process optimization.

  • Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management principles.

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in computerized production management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Full-time 40h/week schedule basis from Monday to Friday. Will have to be flexible to work on weekends if necessary.

Maintenance Mechanic

Under general supervision, the primary function of the Maintenance Mechanic is to ensure the efficient operation of chocolate manufacturing equipment by completing proactive and reactive maintenance requirements. The position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties including installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment.

  • Demonstrate ability to follow directions and communicate in English, both orally and in writing. (Speaking French is an asset).

 

  • At least 3 years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience. Previous food or chocolate production mechanical experience (automated production line and flow wrapper packing line) is an asset.

 

  • Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings).

 

  • Highly flexible, with good interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse working environment. 

 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

  • Possess a continuous improvement and learning capability, being adaptable and open to change.

 

  • Able to work in a variety of environments including wet, humid, particulate (dusty), cold, hot, and indoor/outdoor. 

 

  • Able to lift up to 25kg on a regular basis.

  • Valid forklift operator certificate.

 

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

 

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

 

  • Valid forklift operator certification is required.

 

  • Strong understanding of forklift operations and safety protocols. Ability to operate different types of forklifts and material handling equipment.

 

  • Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in varying temperatures.

 

  • High level of accuracy in handling and recording materials.

 

  • Good communication skills in both English and French are preferred.

 

  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
